Liothyronine is indicated when the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone on its own. It treats hypothyroidism, which is a condition where the thyroid produces too little thyroid hormone. Liothyronine can also be used to treat goiter, which is an enlarged thyroid gland, and is given as part of medical tests for thyroid disorders.

Storage:
