Levothyroxine is indicated when the thyroid is not producing enough of this hormone naturally. It is used to treat hypothyroidism, a condition where the thyroid produces too little thyroid hormone. Levothyroxine can also be used to treat goiter, an enlargement of the thyroid gland, and is given as part of medical tests for thyroid conditions.

Storage:
